SCW Wrestling returns on Saturday
The SCW is back in action on Saturday night at Newton Township Fire Department. The doors open at 6 p.m. and bell time is 7 p.m.
All seats are $10 and kids 5 and under get in free. For more information, follow SCW on Facebook.
Higdon leads Parettes
The Wednesday Night Green Valley Parettes had Gay Higdon with low gross of 34 and low net of 19. Winning teams were 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, and 13.
Thursday Ladies played scramble
The Zanesville Country Club Thursday Evening Ladies League played the back nine in the SCRAMBLE NET format.
Joan Minning, Shari Weingarth, Cindy Linn and Ann Melick and Toby Rogovin, Jan Schowinsky, Connie LaPlante, Janet Pompei and Megan Durst tied for first place, while Susan Thompson, Tami Swope, Linda Graham and Lou Anne Taylor were second.
Philo BB holding golf outing
Philo Boys Basketball will be holding a golf outing on Aug. 14 at Jaycees Golf Course.
Registration will begin at 7:30 with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $260 per team with skins included. Payouts will be based on the amount of teams in the outing.

Maysville Youth Soccer League having registration
The Maysville Youth Soccer Program, for boys and girls in grades 1-6, is currently holding registrations for the upcoming fall.
Players can register in person through July 22 at South Zanesville Eyecare or can mail registration forms to Maysville Youth Soccer Program, c/o Dr. Paul Hoffman, 3230 Lakewood Dr., Zanesville, OH 43701. Cost is $40 per player and checks only.

Goins Scholarship Scramble to be held
The third annual Myron and Ruth Goins Memorial Scholarship Scramble will be on July 18 at Fuller’s Fairways. Registration starts at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.

Y-City League hosting coach pitch tourney
The Y-City Midget League will be hosting a coach pitch all-star tournament on July 24-25.
Cost of the event is $150 with a four game guarantee and is open to all-star teams only. Travel teams are not permitted.

Bishops Soccer Camp approaching
The Junior Bishops Soccer Camp, for students in kindergarten through 8th grade, will be held July 19-21 at Rosecrans High School.
Camp runs from 5:30 to 7 p.m. daily, and cost is $35. To register, contact Hugh Maxwell at 740-319-4764.
New Lex CC hosting 5K Run/Walk in July
The New Lexington Cross Country 5K Run/Walk will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 17 at New Lexington High School.
All proceeds go towards our Cross Country team. Cost is $25 per entry and the first 30 entries will receive a free shirt and wristband (subject to increase if entries exceed expectations). Awards will go to female and male winners of each age group (14 and under, 15-20, 21-29, 30-39, 40+).
