SALEM — Salem Regional Medical Center is welcoming plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr. Linda A. Camp to its medical staff. 

Camp is board certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She performs all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery, including both surgical and nonsurgical cosmetic procedures. 

Camp has a special interest in caring for women with breast cancer, a news release states. In addition to her SRMC Plastic Surgery practice at 2094 East State Street, Suite G, she will provide leadership for SRMC’s multidisciplinary breast cancer committee and consultative services to breast cancer patients at the University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center at SRMC.

“Women facing the breast cancer journey often need some type of breast surgery performed as part of their treatment,” Camp said in the release. “Choosing to undergo surgery is a personal decision, and it is important to find the right solution for each patient. I will be working with my breast cancer patients at the UHSCC at SRMC to create a personalized treatment plan that optimizes their outcomes based on their individual needs and goals.”

Camp received her Doctor of Medicine from Northeastern Ohio Medical University, and then completed her surgical residency at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Cleveland and her plastic surgery residency at Penn State-Hershey Medical Center Pennsylvania. She also obtained her Master of Business Administration from Malone University in Canton.

Mediate Financial opens new office in Canfield

CANFIELD — Mediate Financial Services Inc. will celebrate the opening of its new office at 6674 Tippecanoe Road, Suite 5 & 6, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Thursday.

Mediate Financial has been in operation since 1994, offering a full range of financial services including investments and insurance to help clients pursue their retirement goals. Before the recent move, the firm had been located at 8166 Market Street, Boardman.

“We’re very excited to be in our new location and have the opportunity to focus on our client experience,” Chris Mediate, president of Mediate Financial, said in a news release. “Our new space includes an education center that will give us an area to concentrate on keeping our clients informed — not only on financial education but areas that affect their lives in general. We love to gather with our clients. This room gives us a place to do just that.”

Golden Caregivers to use OhanaLink Technologies app

HERMITAGE, Pa. — OhanaLink Technologies announced an agreement with Golden Caregivers to serve as a pilot program to offer its communication platform to assist in-home clients. 

Golden Caregivers will provide OhanaLink Health, a mobile app to connect patients and their caregivers and support persons through a private communication platform. Golden Caregivers provides personal care for individuals needing a variety of home-based services, including nursing support, transportation services for medical appointments and other private duty services in Mercer County.

“We are excited to partner with Golden Caregivers and other community-based health providers to provide a new channel of communications for their clients available on their mobile devices,” Kara Wasser, founder and CEO of OhanaLink Technologies, said in a news release. “The OhanaLink mobile app is designed specifically to bridge communication gaps that often occur in a health care setting.”

The OhanaLink suite of solutions helps patients and families remain connected during any type of health-related event. OhanaLink offers mobile technology that allows users to privately share real time updates in a safe, secure environment, the release states.

Gasoline prices decrease 5 cents in Northeast Ohio

YOUNGSTOWN — The average price for gasoline across Northeast Ohio is 5 cents cheaper this week at $2.60 per gallon, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report.

The average price for unleaded self-service gasoline in the Youngstown area is $2.62 per gallon.
