Company news: Douglas Clay, Doris Wong hired by IPD Engineering

The following new hires were announced by IPD Engineering:
Douglas Clay has joined the company as VP of healthcare and life science.
He has more than 35 years of experience designing, managing and overseeing projects in the healthcare and laboratory sectors. In his role, he will provide leadership and team coordination to ensure project success. He is an expert at analyzing, identifying and providing creative solutions that increase building performance, longevity, and energy efficiency. He is knowledgeable and experienced in supporting multi-million dollar healthcare facility projects, which include hospitals, nursing homes, surgical centers and medical office buildings.
Clay is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers, U.S. Green Building Council and Central New York Society for Healthcare Engineering.

Doris Wong has joined the company as a virtual design construction mechanical design engineer.
She has several years of experience in mechanical engineering and is an expert in producing design documents using AutoCAD/Revit, conducting site surveys, and designing HVAC systems.
Wong will work alongside IPD’s senior design technology manager in standardizing virtual reality and reality capture software utilization as well as implement building information modeling workflows.
IPD Engineering is part of a national design-build firm headquartered in Syracuse with branch offices in Buffalo and Utica. Their team of professionals has experience working along side sister companies VIP Architectural Associates, VIP Structures and VIP Development serving commercial, industrial, medical and institutional clients throughout New York State.
